With over 26 years experience in the provision of Garden Services, Wardens is a leading garden fencing and wooden gates manufacturer to both the public and trade. They were keen to expand their current business and create an online presence where they could showcase the quality of their garden work to potential customers and show off their workmanship in the many garden products they manufacture.
The biggest worry the company had was their IT skills. It turns out although they are very good at producing quality garden products, their skills did not translate to a keyboard!
They had planned for the future and required a system that was flexible enough to incorporate an e-commerce platform later on, with the least amount of disruption or re-development of the website. As the company expands, they will start to engage on social media platforms, bringing potential customers back in to their website. Other developments and ideas such as ‘book an appointment online’ will be looked at.
A website was developed that had an easy to use content management system. Not only can this be accessed from the office desktop, but also on a mobile device. This will enable the company to maintain content and upload showcase images from anywhere.
The website has also enabled the company to promote their latest work on the home page through visual displays, and feature some of their products.
Moving to the future, a range of ready to use, off the shelf ‘plugins’ are available allowing for minimum disruption, development and cost when required. The plugins range from e-commerce tools to enabling customers to book their own appointments. The site is also ready to connect with social media accounts when the company is ready. Again, minimising cost, but also minimising the amount of time taken to maintain their online presence whatever platform their customers choose to follow the company on.
